Jeffrey J. Emmi, D.M.D.
Providing premier dentistry with a personal touch for over 17 years, Dr. Jeffrey Emmi feels that the most rewarding part of his job is interacting daily with his patients and staff. Born in Wilmington, Dr. Emmi earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the Temple University School of Dentistry in 1990. He subsequently founded Smile Solutions by Emmi Dental Associates based on his personal practice philosophy that when a dentist makes the effort to "treat people nice and do good dentistry, everything else seems to fall in line." To ensure he remains at the forefront of modern dentistry, each year Dr. Emmi takes more than the number of continuing education hours required by the state dental board. He has served as President of the Delaware Academy of General Dentistry and is a member of the Delaware State Dental Society and the American Dental Association. In his spare time, Dr. Emmi enjoys participating in sports, including golf, fishing, and tennis, and he takes particular pleasure in spending time with his wife, two daughters, and son.
Laura Dougherty, D.D.S.
The latest member of the Smile Solutions by Emmi Dental Associates is Dr. Laura A. Dougherty, who finds that the most rewarding aspects of her chosen career are being able to help ensure patients have a comfortable dental experience and seeing her patients gain confidence when they see their newly restored, beautiful smiles. Born and raised in Delaware's Sussex County, Dr. Dougherty earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Delaware in 2001 before going on to study dentistry at the University of Maryland's Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, achieving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 2006. After completing her General Practice Residency with the Christiana Care Dental Residency Program, she went into private practice and joined Smile Solutions by Emmi Dental Associates in 2007. A member of the American Dental Association, the Delaware Academy of General Dentistry, and the Delaware State Dental Society, Dr. Dougherty resides in North East, Maryland with her daughter Paige.
Thomas Lanzilotti, D.M.D
The latest addition to Smile Solutions is Dr. Thomas Lanzilotti who joined the practice in August of 2008. Dr. Lanzilotti believes in treating all of his patients with respect, honesty, and compassion. He also wants to insure that all of his patients have a comfortable experience while achieving overall dental health. Dr. Lanzilotti earned his Bachelor of Science from the Villanova University in 2003 before going on to study dentistry at the Temple University School of Dentistry, and achieving his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2007. He completed his General Practice Residency with Christiana Care Health System in 2008. Dr. Lanzilotti was born and raised in Southern New Jersey, and now resides in Wilmington, Delaware with his wife, Elizabeth, who also is a dentist in Delaware. In his free time, Dr. Lanzilotti enjoys following all Philadelphia’s professional sports teams, traveling to the Jersey shore and Delaware beach, and spending time with his wife, family, and friends. Dr. Lanzilotti is a member of the American Dental Association, the Delaware Academy of General Dentistry, and the Delaware State Dental Society.
