Dr. Emmi, Wilmington Dentist

Meet Nicholas Emmi

Coming SoonDr. Nicholas Emmi’s connection to Smile Solutions started long before he became a dentist. Growing up around the practice with his father, Dr. Jeffrey Emmi, dentistry was simply part of his life. He officially joined the Smile Solutions team in seventh grade, working as a laboratory technician, and later moved into the clinical side of the practice as a dental assistant during the COVID-19 pandemic. Those early experiences gave him a unique view of dentistry from just about every angle and helped shape the way he cares for patients today.

After graduating from Archmere Academy, Dr. Emmi attended the University of Delaware before earning his dental degree from Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry. He then completed a General Practice Residency at Stony Brook University in 2026, where he continued to build his experience in comprehensive dental care and treating patients with a wide range of needs.

Following his residency, Dr. Emmi returned home to Delaware to join Smile Solutions as a dentist and continue a family tradition that has been part of his life since childhood. Having grown up around many of the same patients, team members, and community he now serves, coming back to the practice felt like a natural next step.

Dr. Emmi enjoys getting to know his patients, helping them understand their dental health, and making treatment feel comfortable and approachable. He believes good dentistry is not just about treating teeth, but about building trust and making sure patients feel confident in the care they receive.

Outside of the office, Dr. Emmi enjoys spending time with his wife, Monika, whom he married in 2020, and their very full house of two dogs and four cats. They are proud to call Delaware home.

For Dr. Emmi, joining Smile Solutions brings his story full circle. What began as a seventh grader working behind the scenes has grown into the opportunity to care for patients in the community that helped shape him, alongside the team and family that first introduced him to dentistry.
