Meet Mark Tanchanco, D.M.D.

Dr. Tanchanco is a Delaware native who attended Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore, where he earned undergraduate degrees in Biology and Psychology. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. During dental school, he earned several awards and honors recognizing his clinical excellence and contributions to dental materials research.

Following graduation, Dr. Tanchanco returned home to Delaware to complete a General Practice Residency at ChristianaCare, further advancing his training and experience as a general dentist. He now serves on the residency’s faculty as an attending dentist and Director of Digital Dentistry, where he teaches residents modern digital workflows for dentures, crown and bridge procedures, and implant restorations.

Dr. Tanchanco enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with a particular passion for esthetic, patient-centered care that combines artistry with cutting-edge digital technology. He has been recognized multiple times as a Top Dentist by Delaware Today magazine, reflecting his commitment to clinical excellence and patient care. Dedicated to serving the diverse communities of his home state, he is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community that helped shape him and is proud to do so every day at Smile Solutions.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Tanchanco enjoys spending time with his wife Erin, his family, his close friends and his dogs. He likes to travel internationally, go to the local beaches during the summer, play golf and archery, and is also into fitness, running, and watching both new and classic films.
