Dental Hygienists

Our professional staff of hygienists make your dental health their primary concern. They will perform a thorough review of your medical history, do an oral cancer screening, and multiple other unnoticed but important duties. We take a team approach when it comes to our patient care. Both the doctor and hygienist will thoroughly explain any treatment or concerns so that our patients can make a fully informed decision regarding their dental health.

Meet Erica

“I grew up in a family of dentists. I graduated hygiene school in 2003, and my husband and I got married shortly afterwards. In the last 16 years we proceeded to have four children. I’ve since realized that being a hygienist has allowed me to be the kind of mom I always wanted to be, while having a career that I truly love. I started working at Smile Solutions in 2013. Dr. Emmi truly cares about his employees and patients deeply. We have such a close-knit work family who all care about each other. And I absolutely LOVE my patients. My patients are the best part of what I do.”

Meet Ashley

“I started with Smile Solutions in May of 2021 after receiving my dental hygiene degree from Delaware Tech. Although I am fairly new to Smile Solutions, it feels like I’ve been part of the team forever! I started as a dental assistant 10 years ago and decided to peruse a career as a dental hygienist. I have an amazing 13 year old daughter that I spend most of my free time with. When I am not with my daughter I’m riding my Peleton and planning trips to Disney!

Meet Allysa

“I just knew at a very young age I wanted to be in the dental field. I started as a dental assistant in high school and fell in love with dentistry. This led me to pursue a career in dental hygiene. I graduated from Del Tech in 2018 and began my journey as a dental hygienist! At Smile Solutions, I have become part of a loving and caring dental family. I have learned so much in my short time here and enjoy learning more every day from Dr. Emmi and my fellow team members. I love taking care of my patients and getting to know them personally! Dental hygiene has been a very rewarding career choice and Smile Solutions makes it even more rewarding! Dr. Emmi is truly a great dentist but besides that a great boss and a great person overall. I have fallen in love with my profession and my coworkers!”

Meet Nicole

“My passion for dentistry began at a young age. As a kid I used to visit my mom at work, which happened to be in a dental office, and I would constantly find myself wandering into the hygienists’ room just to watch. When I was accepted into the dental assisting program at Delcastle High I fell in love with helping others create their envision of a perfect smile. I then followed my dream to become a dental hygienist and graduated from Delaware Tech’s dental hygiene program in 2019, this is when I finally felt I had found my purpose. I enjoy meeting new patients daily and building a long-lasting relationship with them. At the end of the day, there is nothing more rewarding then making an impact in someone’s overall health. Working at Smile Solutions has been an amazing experience for me. All of the staff members are so knowledgeable and welcoming, creating that family feeling we all need to get through the work week!”

Meet Jessica R.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working as a dental hygienist for over 13 years, with the last 3 years spent at Smile Solutions. I graduated from Delaware Tech in 2011, and since then, I’ve been passionate about helping my patients achieve their healthiest, happiest smiles. There’s nothing more rewarding than building personal relationships with each patient, getting to know their unique needs, and working together to maintain and improve their oral health.

When I’m not caring for my patients, you can usually find me spending time with my husband and our three kids. Whether we’re cheering from the sidelines at a ball game or soaking up the sun at the beach, family time is always a priority.

“I recently started working at Smile Solutions after graduating from Deltech in May of 2024. I always knew I wanted to work in healthcare and luckily dental hygiene found me. In the short amount of time l’ve been here, l’ve learned so much and been so welcomed. I’m passionate about helping patients feel confident and fall in love with their smiles, while also improving their overall health. I’m lucky to have found an office that prioritizes patient care and the well-being of staff. When I’m not at work, I enjoy going on walks with my dog and binging a good tv series.”

“I’m a graduate from Delaware Tech, and I’m thrilled to be part of the Smile Solutions team as a dental hygienist! My love for dentistry began at a young age—I’ve been a patient here since I was four years old. It’s exciting to now be part of a team that has always felt like a second family to me.

What I love most about Smile Solutions is the warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes every patient feel at ease. In the short time I’ve been here, I’ve already learned so much, and I can’t wait to continue growing both professionally and personally in the years to come!”
